Why I made BooksMade...

Imagine sitting around with your friends, a deck of cards in hand, and a competitive spirit in the air. That’s where Spades comes in—a thrilling card game that combines strategy, teamwork, and a bit of luck for a fantastic time with friends.

Family

In my family, Spades, holidays, competition, and fun are inseparable. Whenever we gather, we can’t wait to kick off a lively game of Spades, always paired with a generous dose of trash talk.

But with all the competitiveness, how do you know whose trash talk really holds weight? Everyone’s team thinks they’re the best, with the most wins, and it’s easy to lose track. Sometimes, we’re all ready to play, but the score sheets aren’t! And, of course, the boasts of “we’re the best” get so wild that I realized it was time to start keeping score for real. Why not have a true leaderboard where the best Spades players or teams can rise to the top and prove their dominance?

This app is, at its core, a tribute to the joy and excitement of playing Spades with family and friends. I hope it elevates both the fun of the game and the ease of keeping score, adding an extra layer of playful banter for family, friends, and even leagues!
